Fathima Coffee Works & FACO™
Fathima Coffee Works is the original coffee shop in Kodaikanal, started in 1963 by Mr. Abdul Wahab. FACO™ is the coffee brand introduced in 2023, carrying the same coffee from the same shop into packs you can take home.

Abdul Wahab's journey
Mr. Abdul Wahab travelled on foot to Kodaikanal and continued the coffee-making tradition carried forward from his father.

Fathima Coffee Works begins
Fathima Coffee Works began as an in-house coffee roasting and grinding operation with a retail shop.
- Around 1985
A. Jailani takes over
Mr. A. Jailani took over the business around 1985.
- 2023
FACO™ is introduced
FACO™ was introduced as the coffee brand; Fathima Coffee Works remained the original business.
Same street, same method
The original roasting and grinding method continues at Fathima Coffee Works, preserving its coffee-making tradition.
