The story of a small Kodaikanal coffee shop, the family that runs it, and the brand it became.

Fathima Coffee Works & FACO™

Fathima Coffee Works is the original coffee shop in Kodaikanal, started in 1963 by Mr. Abdul Wahab. FACO™ is the coffee brand introduced in 2023, carrying the same coffee from the same shop into packs you can take home.

    Fathima Coffee Works opens

    Mr. Abdul Wahab starts a coffee shop in Kodaikanal, roasting and grinding coffee for the town.

    A shop the town relied on

    Locals came for their weekly coffee powder; visitors found the shop by its aroma.

    FACO™ is introduced

    The same coffee is packed under the FACO™ name so it can travel beyond Kodaikanal.

    Same street, same method
